Sensoria - Summer In The Hills

Tomorrow Sensoria officially commences. Sensoria is the Hills Shire’s festival where music, culture, theatre, the arts and fashion meet, just a little bit exciting for those who heart the arts.

From 16 November until 19 December you will  find something for everyone  - all local!       

The headline event for the festival is Shakespeare In The Park if you haven't been before - you have to this year! Now in its third season, this amazing outdoor theatre production returns to Bella Vista Farm Park with the ambitious paring of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and The Taming of the Shrew.
Featuring a superb ensemble cast of Sydney’s finest emerging and established stage actors including Danielle King and James Lugton as Shrew’s famous warring lovers and Damien Ryan with Logie Award winner Amy Mathews as the infamous Macbeths.

If fashion is more your passion, check out Chanel, Dior & More – A Selection From The Darnell Collection (an exhibition of priceless vintage couture) will be showcased at the Castle Hill RSL from 17 – 19 November.

Charlotte Smith, who is the custodian of The Darnell Collection, will be the special guest at a evening lecture titled ‘Dreaming Of Couture’ on November 23 at the Powerhouse Discovery Centre. Following the lecture, guests are invited to enjoy drinks and canapés and purchase signed copies of Charlotte Smith’s beautiful books documenting the Darnell Collection, Dreaming of Chanel and Dreaming of Dior.

Art-lovers will love Kevin Hills Top Ten – Art Exhibition & Sale at Council’s Administration Building 25-27 November, 2011.

Valued at over $1 million this is the only exhibition of its kind in the country where you can visit fourteen one-man exhibitions under the same roof, with over 350 works displayed and ten of Australia's best artists featured including Pro Hart, Ken Best, Max Mannix and more.
